KASSHARE INDEPENDENT HOST AGREEMENT
Version: October 2, 2026 — includes Host Tax Responsibility Agreement; applies to independently hosted properties.
KasShare’s role. KasShare Enterprise provides third-party listing support for independently hosted properties. The host owns or controls the property and operates the accommodation. KasShare is not the property’s owner, landlord, employer, partner, or insurer.
Host responsibility. You confirm that you are authorized to offer the property and are responsible for accurate listings, property condition, safety, maintenance, guest access, house rules, required permits, insurance, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws. You are responsible for damages, injuries, guest disputes, civil claims, and legal costs arising from your property, hosting activities, breach of this agreement, or your acts or omissions, to the extent attributable to you under applicable law. KasShare does not insure or guarantee reimbursement for property damage.
Claims and legal costs. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold KasShare Enterprise harmless from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs caused by your breach, negligence, unlawful conduct, or unauthorized listing. This obligation does not cover KasShare’s own negligence, willful misconduct, or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KasShare Enterprise assumes no responsibility or liability for an independent host’s property, its operation, property damage, injuries, guest disputes, or civil claims arising from that host’s acts or omissions. The host assumes responsibility for those matters. This limitation does not exclude obligations or liability that applicable law does not allow KasShare to exclude.
Acceptance. By checking the required box and submitting, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms. Your agreement is recorded with your host submission. You retain any rights that cannot legally be waived.
KASSHARE HOST TAX RESPONSIBILITY AGREEMENT
1. Host tax responsibilities
I will maintain required tax registrations, provide accurate property information, and file and pay taxes for which I am legally responsible. For properties within Dallas city limits, owners, operators, or managers must register the property and collect, report, and pay applicable city hotel occupancy taxes.
2. Dallas and Texas lodging taxes
For taxable stays within Dallas city limits, the city hotel occupancy tax is 9% of the taxable room charge, consisting of the 7% city hotel tax plus the additional 2% venue tax. The Texas state hotel occupancy tax is 6%, making the combined state and city rate 15%, before any other applicable taxes.
For example, a $100 taxable room charge adds $9 in Dallas city tax and $6 in Texas state tax, totaling $115 before other applicable charges. Rates may change, and exemptions may apply.
Responsibilities imposed by law
This agreement does not transfer, waive, or eliminate any responsibility imposed by law on either the host or KasShare.
